Author Guidelines

Avicenna Journal of Science and Technology (AJST) welcomes original research articles, review papers, and case studies in the field of health sciences and related technologies. Authors are required to carefully follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth submission and review process.

1. Scope of the Journal

AJST publishes manuscripts in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, midwifery, nutrition, public health, and medical laboratory technology. Submissions must align with the journal’s focus and scope.

2. Manuscript Originality

Manuscripts submitted to AJST must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal. All submissions will be screened for plagiarism.

3. Article Types

AJST accepts the following types of manuscripts:

• Original Research Articles

• Review Articles

• Case Studies

4. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be written in clear and academic English or Indonesian and formatted according to the journal template. The manuscript structure should include:

• Title

• Author(s) and affiliation(s)

• Abstract and keywords

• Introduction

• Methods

• Results

• Discussion

• Conclusion

• References

5. References

References must be relevant, up-to-date, and cited consistently using the APA style or another style specified by the journal.

6. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system via the journal website. Authors must ensure that all required metadata are correctly completed.

7. Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments.

8. Article Processing Charge (APC)

An Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 200,000 is applied after the manuscript is accepted for publication.

9. Publication Ethics

Authors must comply with the journal’s publication ethics and are responsible for ensuring ethical approval and informed consent where applicable.
