Avicenna Journal of Science and Technology (AJST) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows ethical principles to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability in all stages of the publication process. These ethical guidelines apply to authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

Duties of Authors

Authors must ensure that their submitted manuscripts are original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. All sources must be properly cited, and any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices is strictly prohibited. Authors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest and confirm that their research complies with ethical standards, including approval from relevant ethics committees when applicable.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the scholarly merit of the manuscripts, their originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Editors must treat all submissions fairly without discrimination and maintain confidentiality throughout the review process. Any conflicts of interest must be avoided.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to conduct objective, constructive, and timely reviews. They must maintain confidentiality of the manuscripts and refrain from using unpublished materials for personal advantage. Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors and report any suspected ethical misconduct to the editors.

Publication Ethics and Misconduct

AJST does not tolerate ethical misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, or unethical research behavior. Any manuscript found to violate ethical standards will be rejected or retracted in accordance with established publishing ethics procedures.
